Central Utah Clicnic headquarter in Prova, is and independent multi specialty physician group serving approximately 300,000 patients annually at 13 locations in Utah county and 10 outreach clinics after deploying a Windows Mobile® based solution including Pocet Pcs, Tables Pcs, and Allscripts TouchWorks EHR software, CUC realized greater physician and nurse productivity enabling physicians to spend 25 percent more time with patients. The solution eliminated paper charts and helped increase capture of charges by up to 30 percent. CUC saw saving of US$1 Million in the first year and US$8.5 million saving over five years.

    Staff at do-it-yourself supplier check stock and prices boost productivity 20 percent. Swedish do-it-yourself supplier K-rauta managed stock with an ERP system that could be accessed only at fixed terminals in the store. To check prices on stock information staff members had to move back and forth between the shelves and desktop computers and manually record details on paper. This counted for a great deal of lost productivity as well as errors due to handwritten information. To improve staff productivity K-rauta implanted Windows mobile®-powered Pocket Pcs to enable its staff to access the ERP system from anywhere in the store. Overall staff productivity increase 20 percent. RIO was less than six months per store.
